European Biogas Association aisbl (EBA)
The European Biogas Association aisbl (EBA) is a Europe-wide association located in Brussels, Belgium.
EBA advocates for recognition of biomethane and other renewable gases as sustainable, on demand and flexible energy sources that provide multiple knocks on socio-economic and environmental benefits.
Supported by its members, EBA is committed to work with European institutions, industry, agricultural partners, NGOs and academia to develop policies which can enable the large-scale deployment of renewable gases and organic fertilisers throughout Europe, supported by transparent, well established sustainability certification bodies to ensure sustainability remains at the core of the industry.
The EBA set out its goal towards 2030 to produce annually 35 bcm of sustainable biomethane in Europe, contributing to the need for renewable gas in transport, industry and heating sector.
