Kompost & Biogas Verband Österreich

The Austrian Compost & Biogas Association represents the interests of around 200 biogas and 260 composting plants. In addition, its members include around 60 environmental technology companies. The long-standing cooperation with the Biomethan Register Austria has made it possible for the Austrian biogas industry to track biomethane along the gas grid and make the biomethane tradable.

In general, the Austrian Compost and Biogas Association stands for organic recycling, which is technologically possible, ecologically necessary, and economically viable.

The protection of soils and water, climate protection and the efforts in politics to anchor a sustainable economy and lifestyle in society determine the fields of activity. Humus build-up, bioenergy and carbon sequestration are the topics of our time.

In this sense, the Compost and Biogas Association Austria represents the interests of all and focuses on information and education to promote sustainable development.
